I have had a few of Paul Gordon's books in my library for many years, and it was not until I saw him performing on this "At the Table" lecture that I realized I had been overlooking such strong card magic.
He is a likeable performer, and a clear and detailed teacher. And unlike so many magicians, who are not as good in person as they seem when you read their books, Paul Gordon is better than the book! (And that said, having re-read his books recently, his books are pretty darned good, too).
On this 2 hour DVD, Gordon teaches a lot of magic (10 full card routines, and a number of sleights and nuances/handling tips as well), and unlike many At The Table lectures, Gordon does not waste a lot of time goofing around, telling long anecdotes that have little practical application, etc. He does share some stories of performing, but they are brief and useful or instructive insights.
The card magic (like much of Gordon's extensive repertoire, is practical, not too hard (self-working to intermediate level), and impactful for lay audiences. (And most of them will fool other magicians too)
This DVD is a bargain. If you like card magic, you should get this. Trust me.
