In the 1970's and early 1980's, when I would get my M-U-M magazine in the mail each month, it was Jon Racherbaumer's "At the Table" column that I would turn to first. (Okay, I usually went to look at the Assembly meeting report for my local assembly, so I could see my name in print, as one of the performers during our monthly assembly meeting. But after that, I turned to Jon's excellent column of close-up magic).
Racherbaumer always presented good, strong magic in his At the Table column. In fact, I had forgotten just how good that stuff was, until I looked through this 1984 compilation book, which was published by D Robbins. Wow! This is a really good book for anyone interested in close-up and card work.
Most of the items are from Ed Marlo and/or Jon Racherbaumer, but other contributors include Tom Mullica, Steve Draun, Phil Goldstein...
Clearly explained and illustrated with line drawings and photos. Check out the photos of the Table of Contents and sample page format to get a better idea of just how much good magic is in this book.
