SYMPHANET IN SILKS by Paul Diamond
written by Rev Bill Baker -- undated, but first published in 1971. Diamond no doubt reprinted this lecture booklet over the years. I estimate this one is printed no later than 1990
Paperback, 15 pages, plus extra four page tipped-in insert describing an additional silk effect.
Paul did a lot of lectures at clubs and conventions, and so he had a number of different lectures that he presented. This one was a complete club or stage routine using silks. Lots of great advice from a man who knew his way around the world of silk magic and gimmicks.
With the oddly misspelled name SYMPHANET IN SILKS -- (should be SYMPHONETTE) -- Paul not only invented a new word, but gave us a booklet that is a hidden gem of silk magic. The routine includes effects with some props you may not have, but you can cherry-pick the effects from the entire routine and use what works for you. And the props needed (or similar substitutes) are all available still.
BONUS: included is a tipped-in 4 page folded sheet that describes Paul's method for a silk fountain effect that you can make up with your own regular silks. This alone is worth the price of the booklet, (as they say!) Especially since the booklet only costs a few bucks!
Condition notes: This is new-old dealer inventory. Even though the booklet is at least 30 years old, it is like new, clean, unmarked, and tight.
