If you look at our TMGS listings enough, you realize that we don't think that you always have to spend a lot of money on useful props, and that (although we appreciate fine craftmanship and quality apparatus) we often recommend inexpensive items that work well and you do not have to worry about scratching or breaking when you are working your gigs.
Just found this simple cardboard version of the nested production tubes (also known as the Buddah Tubes), and for the price, it gets a TMGS recommendation. The tubes also have a see-through feature, so a bit like a square circle production (but both tubes are square). Bring out the nested tubes, and lift up the outer tube. Show it empty, and then re-nest it over the inner tube. Lift it up again, and set it on the table, beside the inner tube. Now pick up the inner tube (the one with the "joker" graphics) and show it empty. Re-nest it inside the outer tube. You can now make a production of silks that is almost equal to the inner capacity of the tubes.
You could also produce a bottle of soda, or any other item that fits in the tubes. (Tubes are 10 inches tall and 4 inches square -- outer tube is slightly larger than this)
The tubes fold flat for storage and transportation. They are lightweight, so probably not good for outdoor picnic shows, but for living room birthday party shows, this is a convenient, practical way to do a silk production. (Streamer in the pictures is NOT included)
Although the method is simple, it does take a bit of practice to do this trick smoothly. Once you get the feel of un-nesting and nesting the tubes, it will be a cinch.
Brand new and unused with complete instructions. Use your own silks or other items for the production -- (again, streamer in the pictures is NOT included)
