One of my all-time favorite Tenyo items is Shigeru Sugawara's Pendant (from 1978 Tenyo line), because it is simple, straight-forward, and the props don't scream store-bought magic trick. Now there is a version of the Pendant effect available, with updated (and dare I say it) better looking props. So now, even though Tenyo's Pendant is almost impossible to find (because collectors prize it so highly), you can still mystify your audiences with this charming close-up gem.
A silvery pendant (in the shape of a lady's shoe) is shown, and disconnected from its necklace chain. The pendant is dropped into an envelope, and then, when the chain is lowered into the envelope and pulled out, it comes out with the pendant attached. The envelope is shown empty as the pendant and chain are handed to a spectator to examine.
The effect is so simple that when Tenyo released it 40 years ago, many magi overlooked it. But here is a chance to not overlook it again -- it is a wonderful little mystery that plays especially well for the women and children in the audience who sometimes prefer their magic with a little "charm". (pun intended).
Brand new, with instructions.
JUST TO BE CLEAR, since I have talked a lot about Tenyo in this description, this version is NOT a Tenyo item -- it is inspired by the Tenyo Pendant trick, but is not a Tenyo item.
