From the late 1980's or early 1990's, this is a nicely made (by Magic Workshop, USA) close-up paddle effect that can be added to similarly styled Hot Rods from the period. Of course, it also stands alone as a neat close-up puzzler.
It takes a bit of practice, but is a fun change of pace from other paddle routines, and leaves all props examinable at the end. It is something like the Daryl item out where the spots come off a die and end up on a paddle rod. Only with this version, (which has been around for years before Daryl's), the die spots are gems in a plexi cube. The paddle is shown blank on both sides, and run through the fist with the die, and the gems jump from the die to the paddle. The spectator is left with a blank cube and a paddle studded with gems on one side.
Neat, and all it takes is a paddle move and a simple switch (which is the "bit of practice" part!)
Vintage item, from "new-old" dealer stock, it is in new and unused condition, complete with original props and instructions. The quality of the gem rod is so far superior to what is being made these days, it will make you pine for the good old days when many magic props were not imported from India and China.
Only one of these for sale, so do not wait if you intend to add this "gem" to your paddle magic collection.
