Average Condition, discarded ex-Library book with typical stamps inside cover, but very tight and pages are crisp, no folds or tears. First edition, 1932. Contains well-written, interesting history of magic from fakirs and mystics, mountebanks and jugglers, up through modern (at least modern in 1930) stage conjurers. Also has information about conjuring psychology. If you are a magic history buff, you will be pleased with this book.
To make sure the photo of the color plate in the book is not misleading, the book has only one color plate (shown in picture) and only three other black and white plates. But despite the sparse illustrations, the content of this book is excellent.
