This is a MINT condition issue of the New Tops from February 1985 features and interview with Max Maven.
In the mid-1980’s New Tops issues, one of the monthly highlights was always a column by Denny Laub and Gary Inglese called “The Mind Field”. In this issue, the Mind Field team interview Maven to get his insights on what makes mentalism powerful (or not so powerful). One particularly interesting question they pose to him: what will mentalism be like in twenty years? Given that this issue is now almost 25 years old, we can check Max Maven’s answer, and I’d have to score it a hit. But hey, the guy predicts the future all the time! It’s a very interesting interview for anyone who loved mentalism and cares about where its been, and where its going in the next twenty years.
The issue also contains a Marlo finesse to handle two cards as one, a Trost card effect, and a Phil Goldstein packet effect. (These were the split-personality years for Goldstein/Maven, before he took on the Maven persona full time…)
Perfect like new, MINT condition, despite being 25 years old.
