I still have a few favorite beginner's effects that I still do regularly, and that get great audience responses. The Swami Knows is one of them.

 A small packet of Swami cards is shown, and the spectator is asked to initial one, to prove that it cannot be exchanged for another card.   A playing card previously chosen then appears in the swami's crystal ball -- printed right on the signed Swami card!   The card can be left with the spectator...a very memorable souvenir.

Other cards include answers to personal questions which can appear in the crystal ball, despite the spectator's initials on the card.  

Easy to do, since it uses the Out to Lunch principle (which most TMGS customers know that I think is one of magic's most powerful weapons!) 

You get about a dozen swami cards.    If you are worried about using up the cards (by having the spectator initial them) you could use removable stickers placed on the card, and the spectator initials the sticker.  (You will have to buy some stickers at the stationary store.)    At just a few bucks, might as well buy two or three, so you can give away the signed swami "business card" -- put your name and info on the back and it will bring you business!
