Another version of the "seeing the color of an object hidden in a container" effect, and beautifully made by Magic Makers, back in the early 2000's when the company was making some very high quality brass props.
The effect is puzzling and the method is neat. The spectator puts any one of the five colored discs into the container, and screws on the lid. The other four discs are hidden by the spectator in an opaque bag (which they can hide behind their back if they do not trust you...) All these actions occur while the mentalists back is turned, of course, or what follows would not be very impressive! Turning back to the spectators, the mentalist holds the container to his forehead for a moment, and names the color.
The container does not have to be handled by the magician to learn the color, but does need to be seen, as the tip off is visual. The cue is visual, and does require average to good eyesight. The cue is visible if you know what to look for, and invisible if you don't.
Pretty props and a pretty routine.
CONDITION NOTES: previously owned, but complete with all props in excellent condition. Instruction sheet may be a photocopy, but not sure -- maybe this was how Magic Makers issued it. No original packaging label.
