A simple and quick, but very surprising effect.  But before I describe it, I'll say that every other dealer (and the Keuppers instructions) talk about borrowing a half dollar to do this effect.   Let's be real:  it is impossible to borrow a half dollar from anyone anywhere (other than a coin collectors' show, or magicians' convention).  So you will not be doing this trick with a borrowed coin.   And besides, if you end up magically distorting the shape of a borrowed coin, most spectators would want to keep it for a souvenir.  Which means you have to give them your $20 gimmicked coin!

So I wrote up instructions for my personal routine, and provide those instructions when you buy this prop from THE MAGIC GADGET SITE.   (That's us!)     Here's that routine:

Explain to the spectator that your magical abilities allow you to transfer money from other people to yourself.   But because of your incredibly honest and moral approach to life, you do not use this power, and as a result, you must show people magic tricks to earn a living.   However, you will demonstrate using your own money.     Show a half dollar and let the spectator look at it closely.   Then place it into her hand and ask her to close her hand around it.   "Now you hold the money, but do you think I can get the coin out of your hand?"    She probably says "no", but then using some tricky psychology, you actually get the coin out of her hand!

You say you'll give her another chance, and this time, you place the coin at her fingertips, where you tell her to hold it as tight as she can.  She is putting a death-grip on the coin, and you take hold of the exposed edge and tell her you will pull it from her grip.  You tug and tug, but cannot get the coin.   "Man, you have the strongest grip on money that I have ever encountered!  In fact, LOOK!"  She looks at the coin in her hand, and sees she has literally squashed it in her grip.

Since it is your coin, you take it back and put it away, after she has examined the effects of her strength.

I think having the coin get pinched in her grip is so much more effective, and not any harder to do.   The extra TMGS instruction sheet will teach you how to do it, and also how to get the coin out of her closed fist for the intro to the routine.

These coins are hand made by Roy Keuppers, and so no two are exactly alike.  See the photo to get an idea of what the pinch looks like.

NOTE:  the photos show TWO Pinched coins, so you can see the coin front and back.  You will received ONE coin, not TWO.

Brand new with instructions, and with extra TMGS instructions.
