This DVD from 2002 is a video of his lecture at one of Mike Maxwell's (A-1 MagicalMedia) conventions.  The format is that of a live video taping at the actual lecture as Fayne delivers it.  But unlike many lecture videos, this one does use multiple cameras and angles, so you get both the sense of attending a lecture and also some close-up shots of important moves and moments.

Fayne is a bit of a character, a bit gruff and rough around the edges, but sincere and honest -- he tells it like it is, based on his long experience working as a professional magician.  So he shares a lot of philosophy and approaches to magic, along with six routines.

Included in the routines taught is his classic (and very commercial) "Card on the Seat", in which the spectator gets to be the magician, and then is surprised at the end to find she is sitting on the signed chosen card.   Also included is "the Rat trap", which has a neat subtle method that allows you to not only shrink the spectator's signed selected card, but also shrink her signature on the card as well!

Other highlights are his Oil and Water routine, performed as a monte effect, rather than the standard color separation, plus his handling of McDonald's aces, and a fun piece called Yankee Doodle Cigarette.

A few bits of business for Rat trap and Card on Seat are left out (as Fayne was trying to sell the written booklets of these routines at the lecture), but these routines are still well-detailed and clearly taught.   Just mentioning it, as he brings this up during the lecture.

This DVD was originally about $30, and has recently been available for $10-$15 from some dealers.  I found a small box with a few in it, so I will offer it here at a GREAT price.
