Back in the 1970's, I got a Tenyo trick called Arabian Cards. This was a more slickly packaged version of a Fantasio trick that Tenyo also put out called Kings and Aces (or K&A). Now the same effect is being produced by Vincenzo DiFatta. It is called Poker Transformation, and it is very well-made with poker sized cards.
The effect -- magi shows a fan of four cards. They are the four aces. Also two facedown cards on the table. The fan is closed facedown and one ace is discarded. Another facedown card is added to the packet, and when the four cards are fanned faceup, they are now four Kings. The fan is again closed facedown, and one of the Kings is discarded. Another facedown card is taken from the table and added to the fan. The fan is turned faceup and now is seen to be all blank!
This effect is best when done quickly, as a warm up to more magic. The changes are very clean, but the cards cannot be examined, so best to do it as a quickie eye-test or magical warm-up, and then move on to some more magic.
Also, note that the Aces do not have corner pips. This used to bug me, until I realized (after many performances of this) that most laymen do not really notice or care about this in the context of the effect.
Normally sells for about $7-8, but I got a good deal on some, so here it is for less! Brand new with instructions.
