I have always loved mathematical and topological magic effects.  Martin Gardner is a hero of mine, and I still show his Vanishing Leprechaun puzzle to many of my audiences.   There have been many other effects (mostly based on Gardner's work in the area of topological magic) that seem to change the nature of space itself.   Puzzles that can be made whole, even though a piece was taken out... that sort of thing.

So this is a neat version of the puzzle effect.  It uses some of the classic principle, coupled with a bit more secret sleight of hand (nothing difficult) to create an incrreasingly amazing effect.

You show a block puzzle, within a frame -- it fits perfectly.   The frame is taken away, and you reach into your pocket for another piece.  The existing pieces are put back together into the rectangle shape, but somehow you are able to incorporate the extra piece.   You reach into your pocket again and remove another extra piece.  Again the puzzle is rearranged and goes back into a rectangle, including both extra pieces.  To fool those familiar with the Martin Gardner puzzles, you slip the frame around the puzzle to prove that the pieces have been included but the size has not changed.

The puzzle pieces ook good on top -- they have a marble-look covering on the top.  But they are white on all other sides.  They are lightweight PVC (or foam core) material.  The frame is also made of this material.

Instructions iincluded.    Puzzle is about 5 by 7 inches.

(You may want to also look at our other listing for the beautiful DELUXE version of this effect)

Building Block Mystery DELUXE with drawer

I have always loved mathematical and topological magic effects.  Martin Gardner is a hero of mine, and I still show his Vanishing Leprechaun puzzle to many of my audiences.   There have been many other effects (mostly based on Gardner's work in the area of topological magic) that seem to change the nature of space itself.   Puzzles that can be made whole, even though a piece was taken out... that sort of thing.

So this is a neat version of the puzzle effect.  It uses some of the classic principle, coupled with a bit more secret sleight of hand (nothing difficult) to create an increasingly amazing effect.   And this version comes with a beautiful wood drawer box (painted black) that will hold the block puzzle.  The puzzle pieces are solid and also wood, painted gold on top and silver on all other sides.   Finally, there is a velvet carrying bag for the drawer case and the wooden measuring frame.

As I mentioned above, the props are extremely high quality, and this is a prop you will be very proud to display and perform.   (If you want to do this effect, but want to spend less for it, we do also have an economy version available, without the drawer case, carrying bage, and with blocks and frame made from lightweight PVC).  But I highly recommend spending more to get this beautiful version.

(One minor complaint -- the measuring frame does not fit inside the drawer case.  It needs to be carried separately in the velvelt bag.  I know, not really a big deal, but given how nicely contained the puzzle is in the drawer, I just wish the frame could have somehow been help by the drawer case also.)

Instructions iincluded.    Puzzle is about 5 by 7 inches.
