This packet trick was released 30 years ago, and this particular set is probably about half that old, but in perfect condition, with poker sized Bicycle cards, and custom printed gaff. The effect is Meir Yedid's spin (no pun intended) on Vernon's Twisting the Aces plot, with a kicker climax.
The magi shows four face down cards, and repeatedly runs the packet through his fist to cause a card to turn faceup in the facedown packet. First the Ace of clubs turns up, then the Two of clubs, followe dby the Three and finally the four of clubs. The open action for each reversal is consistent, and very clean -- although it looks like sleight of hand, the clever gaff takes care of most of the work. (If you can do a buckle count with a small packet, you can do this trick.)
For the big finish, the four cards turn into the four Fives, and can be examined. Meir yedid has re-issued this effect and it still avialble from him for $10. This one has the added benefit of being a vintage item in like-new condition.
