Here's a card switching device, like a standard card box, but it has a completely clear top.  Wow!  I got excited to see this one.  Honesty being my policy, I will admit that I was less impressed when I got the item, AT FIRST.

BUT... after a little creative play with this prop, and I had a few really good uses which overcame the basic drawback of the design  For that reason, I recommend you get one of these.  Without giving too much away, I'll reveal that there is a loose gimmick in the box that makes it hard to remove flat items from the box after the switch.  So to change a single card for another -- the usual task of a card box -- is not  a great use.  But if the item is a folded slip of paper, which can easily be picked up, now you have something special.

You can have a blank slip of paper folded by the spectator, and dropped into the box.  Put the lid on, and show the paper is isolated inside.  Put the box on the table, and have a card selected.  Open the box, spectator removes the paper (which apparently never left their view) and the name of the card is now written on the paper.  (No problem lifting a folded paper from the box).   A full deck of poker cards will fit in the box, so it is natural to carry the cards in the box, dump them out and use the box to hold the spirit message. Or have a spectator fold up a dollar bill, and put it in the box.  Place the box on the table and begin to divine the serial number.  Call out numbers and have them written down.  Then open the box for spectator to take back his bill so he can verify that you got every number correct.

If you use this box for other ideas than are explained in the instructions, you will find it to be a great addition to your magical prop box.
