This is one of the nicest looking card rise chests I have come across. It is nicely finished wood, with an Egyptian-style design on the front (those egyptians were big card players, weren't they?) and a nice molded detail around the base.
The effect is that a card (or a few cards) are selected, and signed if you wish. They are mixed into the deck, which is put into the haunted box. Then, as the magi holds the box at an arms length, the spirit of the pharoah (or whoever) mysteriously lifts the lid of the box, and the selected cards rise out, one at a time.
Can be done close up with some attention to wider angles, but really better for club or stage performance.
